Two-year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD) 

EMJMD are highly integrated international study programmes with excellent academic content and methodologies leading to the awarding of either a double, multiple or joint degree. Students will have the chance to study in at least two universities in different EU countries and to apply for Erasmus+ scholarships, which are available for the best candidates worldwide. They include contributions to subsistence (€ 1.000/month), to travel and installation costs (amounts depend on distance), and to participation costs.

IMSISS - International Master in Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies

About the Program:

Students in International Master in Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies will examine a broad range of contemporary security challenges, such as terrorism, civil war and conflict, mass migration, energy supply security, cybersecurity and new technologies, transnational and serious organised crime. Students will also explore the intelligence and strategic approaches used by governmental and non-governmental actors to combat these threats. UniTrento's School of International Studies is involved in the "Causes of Conflicts" study track (Pathway B). The IMSISS consortium includes also the University of Glasgow (United Kingdom, coordinator), Charles University (Czech Republic) and Dublin City University (Ireland).

The scholarship application deadline: 14th January 2022

  • Applicants who want to be considered for Pathway B (University of Trento) must also submit the following:

  • Evidence of knowledge of a second language at Level B2 (not being English or Italian)

IMSISS Scholarship:

  • a contribution to the student participation costs (tuition fees, full insurance coverage and any other mandatory participation costs)

  • a contribution to student travel and installation costs

  • a monthly subsistence allowance for the entire duration of the study programme

Contribution to the participation costs

The tuition fee will be fully covered by the scholarship contribution and the Consortium. 

4,500 € per year for a Programme Country scholarship holder

9,000 € per year for a Partner Country scholarship holder

Any amount in excess of these contributions will be covered by the IMSISS Consortium and will not be charged to the scholarship holder.

Contribution to the travel and installation costs

Programme Country:

1,000 € per year per scholarship holder resident of a Programme country

Partner Country:

2,000 € per year for travel costs + 1,000 € for installation costs for a scholarship holder resident in a Partner country whose location is situated at less than 4,000 km from the EMJMD coordinating HEI

3,000 € per year for travel costs + 1,000 € for installation costs for a scholarship holder resident in a Partner country whose location is situated at 4.000km or more from the EMJMD coordinating HEI.

Distance is calculated by the Consortium using the EACEA calculator.

Contribution to subsistence costs

Monthly Contribution:

1,000 € per month for the entire duration of the EMJMD study programme (24 months maximum).

Contribution to subsistence costs will not be given to scholarship holders for the periods of the EMJMD (study / research / placement / thesis preparation) spent in their country of residence (at the time of the application deadline)

Contribution to subsistence costs will not be given to Partner Country scholarship holders for periods exceeding 3 months spent in any Partner Country.

 LCT - European Masters Program in Language and Communication Technologies

 

About thew Program:

LCT provides students with profound knowledge and insight into the various disciplines that contribute to language and communication technologies and it strengthens their ability to work according to scientific methods. Practical knowledge is acquired by choosing appropriate combinations of modules in Language Technology, Computational and Theoretical Linguistics, and Computer Science. LCT is designed to meet the demands of industry and research in a rapidly growing area, offering education and training opportunities for the next generations of leaders in research and innovation. The partners are UniTrento's Center for Mind/Brain Sciences, Saarland University (Germany, coordinator), University of Malta (Malta), University of Lorraine (France), Charles University (Czech Republic), University of Groningen (The Netherlands) and University of Basque Country (Spain).

LCT Program fees

For non-European students, the program fees are in the amount of Euro 8,500 per year.

1. Erasmus Mundus scholarships

The program offers the following categories of scholarships:

  • non-European for students selected by EMMC consortia who come from a country other than an EU member state or Programme country and who are not residents nor have carried out their main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in one of these countries.

Travel costs:

  • 3,000 Euro/year/scholarship holder resident of a partner country whose location is 4,000 km or more away from the coordinating institution

Maximum contribution to the EMMC participation costs (including insurance coverage)

up to 9.000 € per year per scholarship holder from a Partner Country

Contribution to subsistence costs

EUR 1000 / month (24 months maximum) Contribution to subsistence costs will not be given to scholarship holders for the periods of the JMD (study / research / placement / thesis preparation) spent in their country of residence

ME3+ - European Joint Masters in Management and Engineering of Environment and Energy +

 

About the Program:

The European Joint Masters in Management and Engineering of Environment and Energy + is an innovative Master programme combining Energy and Environmental Process Engineering with Management and Social Sciences, as well as Information and Communication Technology. UniTrento is involved in the study track 3 "Project Manager in Smart Cities and Industry 4.0" with the Free University of Bolzano, Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary) and IMT Atlantique (France, coordinator). The University of Borås (Sweden) is also a partner in the project.

  • the English Certificate or attestation by university (if any)

  • 2 reference letters signed

  • a proof of place of residence (accepted documents are indicated in the PRADO website (https://www.consilium.europa.eu/prado/en/prado-latest-authentic.html). It could also be a residence certificate issued in accordance with the candidate's municipality normal registration rules or a certificate from the candidate's place of work, study or training issued by the employer or institution in question or any document issued by an official institution stating the candidate's current address of residence.

ME3+ Scholarship

The ME3+ participation costs are covered by the Erasmus Mundus scholarship for the entire programme (24 months). Moreover, Erasmus Mundus scholarship holders will get subsistence, travel and installation costs as outlined below.
