About the Center

The Iranian Research Center for Ticks and Tick-borne Diseases (RCTTD) was established in 2004 at the University of Tehran in cooperation with seven Universities, the Institute of Razi and two private livestock breeding companies. The RCTTD is composed of six groups, working on the scientific fields associated with different ticks and tick-borne diseases (Taxonomy, Protozoa, Bacteria, Viruses, Molecular Biology and Immunology and Epidemiology). RCTTD is also actively involved in the Center of Excellence of Immunophatology.
