Research Centers and Institutes

University of Tehran has 40 research centers and institutes, and 14 percent of Centers of Excellence of the Country, some of which conduct research and educational activities independently from the colleges and faculties. The following list includes some of these research institutes. Institutes of Bio-Chemistry & Bio-Physics and Geophysics carry out postgraduate education as well.
