Facilities and Laboratories

IPE enjoys a specialized library, E-room classes, and modern computer facilities including a supercomputer. There are various oil and gas softwares available for professors and researchers that are applicable in different research areas such as Reservoir Characterization and Simulation, Well Drilling, Completion and Engineering, and Process Modeling and Simulation. These available sofwares are: CMG, RMS (Roars), Petrel (Schlumberger), Pan System, EZthermo, and Eclipse 100. Research activities at IPE are performed at several research laboratories which are equipped with the most recent instruments and equipments. The main laboratories at IPE are PVT Lab, EOR Lab, Core Analysis (CCAL and SCAL) Lab, Micromodel Lab, Nano-Particles, Interfacial Tension and Wettability Lab, and Production Lab. Furthermore, Multiphase Flow Lab, Geochemistry Lab, Geophysics Lab, and Corrosion Lab are also under construction.
