About the Institute

The Institute of Petroleum Engineering (IPE) was established as a collaboration between National Iranian Oil Company and the College of Engineering of University of Tehran (UT) in 2000. The main goals at IPE are training specialists for the petroleum engineering sector, development of technical knowledge in the oil and gas industries, planning and implementing scientific studies and conducting laboratory researches, recognizing the shortcomings of Iran’s petroleum industry in comparison to the world’s up to date technology, and offering advanced courses for the oil and gas industries.
