Major Projects

The Hydraulic Machinery Research Institute, with the collaboration of various industries, has completed numerous research projects on pumps and hydraulic turbines. It also collaborates with foreign institutes and research centers active in the field of turbo-machinery to transfer technology; two such collaborations are with Slovenia and Numeca, Belgium. Another major project carried out by the Institute is ‘the hydraulic design of the Francis turbine’ in collaboration with Farab Company affiliated to the Iranian Ministry of Energy.
