About the Center

University of Tehran’s Centre for Women’s Studies (CWS) was established in 2001 in partnership with the “Centre for Women’s Participation” of the Office of the President. The major goal of CWS is to support research projects and meet women’s needs at micro and macro levels. The Centre, as a research and educational institution, has also been offering the “Women’s Studies” program at postgraduate level, in addition to carrying out various research projects on women and family issues.
