About the Institute

The Research Institute of Energy Management and Planning (RIEMP) was established in 2004 as a research institute affiliated to the College of Engineering; in order to develop research, technology and educational activities in various areas of energy management and planning by utilizing and integrating the resources at the University of Tehran and the Ministry of Energy.

The scope of research at the Institute includes strategic management, research on demand and supply management, energy modeling and database, re-structurization of energy sectors, modification of deregulation procedures, finance and subsidy, domesticating and technology transfer in energy sectors, assessment of process innovation in energy technology, and socio-political and economic aspects of energy technology.
