About the Institute

The Research Institute of Culture & Art, as a research center at the College of Fine Arts, was established in 2005. The major responsibilities of the Institute are as follows:

  1. Analyzing and recognizing the research requirements related to the goals of RIC
  2. Compiling executive instructions for recommended research projects
  3. Performing applied and developmental research plans
  4. Performing academic and technical consulting services

The Institute is located at Negarestan Garden, a beautiful and museum-alike garden of the University which dates back to early 19th century. Currently, RIC has four research groups including History of Art, Architecture and Urban Planning, Visual Arts, Fine Arts and Music.
