About the Center

Affiliated to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, INPM is a center for research, education, exhibition and international exchange. Iran is one of the countries with climatic diversity in which many parasitic diseases are endemic. With regard to this variety, the distribution of parasite species is more obvious comparing to many parts of the world. There are 4,500 lots of specimens collected from all over the country and are deposited in the Museum. These samples are under the detachment and recognition process. Until now, more than 450 species of parasites have been identified and categorized.
