About the Center

Founded in 2001, Engineering Optimization Research Group (EORG) is a multidisciplinary research center in the College of Engineering of University of Tehran. It hosts academic members and researchers from different branches of Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. The activities are generally concentrated on optimal design and the management of engineering systems and solutions of practical problems with industrial partners. Since 2001, EORG’s researchers have completed numerous projects in the fields of construction technology and management, structural optimization, earthquake engineering, water resource management, energy, and resource allocation. Several graduate students completed their thesis in engineering optimization group under the supervision of EORG’s academic members. EORG welcomes international research collaboration with world known universities and research centers. Academic and research collaboration with similar national and international research centers is a principal part of its mission.
