About the Center

The core activity of the Center of Excellence for Rural Studies and Planning is to identify the characteristics of the rural regions in Iran through various research projects, and to use the obtained results in order to reach sustainable development in rural areas. More than 100 Ph.D. and Master’s students have graduated in the past five years from the Center. In this period, the Center has also created over 100 scientific articles published in major Iranian and international journals. Furthermore, the Center holds annual conferences and workshops on related issues.
