Research Orientation & Projects

The Faculty of Geography, in line with its academic goals and research projects, cooperates with numerous organizations and institutions, namely, Tehran Municipality, Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Environment Protection Department, and Tourism and Cultural Heritage Department. Some of the projects carried out in the Faculty include, but are not limited to the following: Atlas of Tehran Metropolis, Strategic Plan for Physical Development of Iranian Rural Areas, Master Plan for Tourism in Ardabil Province, A Paleoclimatological and Paleoenvironmental Detection of Southern Central Alborz Foothills in Prehistoric times with an emphasis on Qazvin Plain.
