About the Faculty

Geography has been taught at the University of Tehran since its establishment in 1934. Initially, it was part of a joint Geography-History center at the Faculty of Literature and Humanities. Later on, with the expansion of Geography science at the University of Tehran, the Faculty of Geography was established in 2001.
