AIESEC
International Association of Students in Sciences, Economics and Commerce (AIESEC) is a global, non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. It has 65 years of experience in developing high-potential youth into globally minded responsible leaders. Present in over 113 countries and territories and with over 86,000 members, AIESEC is the world's largest youth-run organization. Focused on providing a platform for youth leadership development, AIESEC offers young people the opportunity to participate in international internships, experience leadership and participate in a global learning environment. The main objectives of AIESEC include Activating Leadership, Demonstrating Integrity, Living Diversity, Enjoying Participation, Striving for Excellence, and Acting Sustainably.
AIESEC in Iran
AIESEC Iran, was officially established in 2007 with the support of the University of Tehran, and its office is located in the Faculty of Entrepreneurship. AIESEC Iran won the ING Award for the relative growth among the AIESEC network in 2009. Since its establishment, AIESEC Iran has had 377 members, and it has sent 97 Iranians abroad for international internship opportunities, and has hosted 37 interns from other countries. AIESEC Iran strives to increase these numbers substantially in the future, as there is a lot of potential within the student and corporate sectors, and the society in Iran. Furthermore, AIESEC Iran, with the help of various companies and the University of Tehran, has held different events such as Career Fair (three times), Talent Day, National Leadership Development Seminar, and different workshops.
