UK Oxford scholar visits UT

Jan Tomek is a Czech DPhil (PhD) candidate at Oxford University's Faculty of Oriental Studies. He is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (SciencesPo Paris) and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). His research touches on regional diplomacy and overland connectivity in the South Caucasus-Iran-Central Asia macro-region. In 2016, he had spent the whole autumn semester at University of Tehran's Dehkhoda Lexicon Institute & International Center for Persian Studies, studying Persian. He looks forward to carrying out a several-month-long study research visit to the University of Tehran in the spring of 2020, this time in relation to his doctoral research. Recently he had a short visit to University of Tehran.
