A Polish assistant professor makes an academic visit to University of Tehran
Stanisław Adam Jaśkowski, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Iranian Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Warsaw, Poland visited University of Tehran recently. Apart from delivering a series of lectures, his research was mainly focusing on the history of Polish-Persian relations and the availability of the relevant sources in the Polish archives, He also visited a number of classes held by UT professors including Dr Mansur Sefatgol (Persian Manuscripts and archival documents about Iranian-polish relations) and Dr Goodarz Rashtiani (History of Russia and history if Russian-polish relations).
He also conducted research in the Central Library of University of Tehran and visited a few other scholarly and cultural institutions, including Miras-i Maktub [Written Heritage] and Islamic Consultative Assembly Library.
His stay also included discussions with faculty of literature and Humanities’ professors about possible future scholarly cooperation, and the exchange of experiences. Dr. Jaśkowski also presented two speeches about Iranian Studies in Poland and another presentation titled education methods of Persian language for non-Iranian students.
