High ranking delegation from Yunnan University, P.R. China visits UT

A high ranking delegation led by Prof. Yang Lin, Chair of University Council(YNU) visited University of  Tehran on 27^th April, 2019 . In the first stage of the visiting program, Prof. Yang Lin, Chair of University Council(YNU) met with Prof.Ghahramani , Vice President for International Affairs at University of Tehran. The Chinese delegation were also comprised of the officials of Confucius Institutes from YNU , Myanmar and Bangladesh. 

The above mentioned first  meeting was held as follows:

After general meeting and lunch hosted by UT , the YNU delegation took part in the annual Board Meeting of UT and YNU Confucius Institute.

The Board Meeting program was held with the following arrangements:

1．2017-2018 Annual CI Work Report （Associate Prof. Ma Yan Chinese Director of CI at UT）

2． 2019 woking Plan （Prof. Bazrafshan Amin, Local Director, CI at UT）

3．Discussion

（1）CI Independent Operation mechanism （Location, financial management, resouces）：

（2）Operation on UT—YNU Iran-Sino Research Center on Belt and Road Initiative；

（3）MA program on Chinese language at UT ；

（4）CI Cooperation with local companies or Persian –Chinese Language Teaching Material；

（5）China Scholarship, CI Summer/Winter Camp to China, Presidents or Official Delegation

visiting China；

(6）board member, time and location for the next board meeting

 (7) expanding mutual cooperation on university level

At this meeting,  the Letter of Intent on  UT—YNU Iran-Sino Research Center on Belt and Road Initiative  was signed between Prof. Mohamamd Bagher Ghahramani, Vice President for International Affairs, UT- and Prof. Yang Lin , Chair of YNU Council.

Finally, there was a specialized meeting with the Dean of College of Fine Arts, Sciences, Agriculture and Natural Resources , and Institute of Geophysics and both sides exchanged ideas on mutual issues of interest.
