Lecture of the distinguished astrophysicist who discovered the planet Beta Pictoris b at University of Tehran

On December 10, 2018, Dr. M. Anne-Marie Lagrange, Exoplanet Beta Pictoris b, presented a lecture at School of Physics for a large number of audiences comprised of scholars and students at  University of Tehran and other universities as well.

This lecture on understanding the processes of the formation of stars and planets was welcomed by very enthusiastic professors, students and enthusiasts. Prof. Lagrange, who has several honors, including the membership of the French Academy of Sciences and the Legion d'honneur Knight, is one of the pioneers of the use of comparative optical techniques in modern astronomy. She is currently one of the most prominent astronomers working on extrasolar planetary systems.
