University of Tehran International Working Groups
At the end of January 2018, based on the instruction of Prof. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi, President of University of Tehran and proposal of Prof. Mohamamd Bagher Ghahramani, Vice President for International Affairs in a consultation with the UT academic body and inclusion of the records of international activities, 8 International Working Group were formed with the membership of members from the UT eminent faculty members and administrative officials.
The purpose of the working groups is to establish a specialized platform for sharing experiences and giving expert advice in establishing and developing academic ties with different universities, higher education institutes and research centers throughout the world within the framework of one of the strategic objective of UT which is Internationalization; while keeping an eye on UT international priorities.
The consultative working groups hold regular meetings and exchange ideas on the ways to promote international program as a mechanism to enhance the quality of the UT local and international plans and reinforce its dynamic presence at international scene as the symbol of Iranian higher education.
The working groups are not limited to the present ones and some other working groups are also in the blueprint to be added to the list. It is worth mentioning that the members of the working groups are either graduate of the concerned countries or have an international experience and expertise related to those countries. They present advices in connection with the various UT international programs. The working groups also welcome any kind of constructive suggestion in line with the objectives of their working group.
