Two directors from Oman Nano-City visit University of Tehran

On 24 December, 2018, Dr. Taqi al Abduwani and Mr. Qassim al Lawati, two Directors from the Oman Nano-City accompanied by Mr. Hamzeh  Ghojavand, Market Development Manager of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative CouncilI(INIC) paid a visit to University of Tehran and met with Prof. Zamani, Head of President’s Office, University of Tehran and Abdolmajid Eskandari, Director General for Office of International Relations.

During this meeting both sides exchanged ideas on the methods of cooperation of different affiliated units of UT with Oman Nano- City.

NanoCity Oman

NanoCity is an Industrial Park in Oman and will be established near the city of Muscat. In this city, different companies in various industries will produce goods by using NanoTechnology for local and global market. NanoCity has 4 Industrial Zone, hotel, school, shopping center, health center and business offices that will be built in an area of 1 million square meters. This project will be developing in collaboration with INIC and Oman in 10 years within third phase.

Vision: NanoCity Oman will become integrated center of excellence (innovation, research, education and entrepreneurship) of Nano based technology.

Mission: This will be through a partnership with Iran NanoTechnology Initiative Council (INIC).
