-If a foreign applicant (professor, scholar, and student) intends to stay for one month in Iran and study or teach at UT, he/she should apply for an educational visa.
In order to issue an educational visa, the necessary permit should be issued by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and for this purpose, the applicant (the student) should refer to the website (www.saorg.ir) and refer to the non-Iranian students section . They should fill in the related forms and upload any requested documents which they are asked for and then will be given a 5-digit code.
After that , the applicants are requested to give the 5-digit code to the Consulate Office at UT( Marmand28@ut.ac.ir) to be confirmed and then after about one month , the necessary permit is issued by Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and finally visa can be processed after 7 to 10 working days. The Visa Reference Number is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is announced to the applicant. (Having the Visa Reference Number, the applicant can refer to Iranian embassy which has mentioned in the form and apply for Educational Visa while quoting the 5-digit code).
-In the beginning, the educational visa is issued for 30 days and upon arrival to Iran and referring to the related visa office at UT, the visa will be extended and can be converted into a permit stay .
