On March 4-8, 2018, the International Office of the Univeristy of Cologne organized and conducted the workshop ProGRANT: Proposal Writing for Research Grants in close cooperation with the Univeristy of Tehran as the host institution.
ProGRANT Proposal Writing for Research Grants is a part of the DIES (Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies) program of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK).
Highly motivated Iranian researchers and PhD holders participated on this workshop to develop proposal writing skills according to international standards and to design, write and budget a promising proposal for national and international research funding.

On March 4-8, 2018, University of Cologne, Germany, organized a course on Proposal Writing for Research Grants“ (ProGRANT) in Tehran on behalf of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Rectors`Conference (HRK).
The aim of the ProGRANT was to enable researchers and young PhD holders to develop proposal writing skills according to international standards, as well as to design, write, and budget a promising proposal for national and international research funding.
30 scientists from 20 different Iranian universities participated in the course. The University of Cologne wants to thank the University of Tehran and its College of Science for the support in preparing and organizing the course.
In 2012 the University of Cologne and the University of Tehran signed an MoU and both universities are looking forward to broaden and intensify the cooperation in the coming years.
