At the same time, although the leaders of both countries have had a lot of cooperation in political, social, and cultural dimensions, these relations in the field of scientific cooperation have not been as brilliant and deep as the political cooperation, which we hope will be strengthened by the will of the academic authorities of both countries."
Prof. Omid continued: "The University of Tehran, which is the mother university and the oldest university in Iran, has made the development of international relations one of its topics in the new term, and the decision is that, given the importance of these activities, the previously concluded and for some reason not operationalized memorandums of understanding will be updated and, as far as possible, lead to practical cooperation agreements."
In this regard, the University of Tehran is fully prepared to cooperate with the top universities of Armenia in all fields, and this cooperation is possible in the form of joint projects and professor and student exchanges."
Acting President of the University of Tehran, pointing out that the issue of climate change, water, and the environment is an international problem and crisis that encompasses all countries, said: "This crisis has now emerged in Iran and will soon occur in countries in the region, including Armenia."
Water, weather, climate change, and the environment are common challenges that universities in the two countries can examine in the form of academic and research projects and find solutions for.
Prof.Omid also considered professor and student exchange as one of the areas of academic cooperation and said: "The University of Tehran currently has more than 1,200 foreign students. Student exchange can also be seen in the cooperation between universities in the two countries. We are ready to exchange students and professors with first-level universities in Armenia in all fields and at all levels so that they can have joint activities and courses."

Given the great potential we have, I would like us to use these capacities and enter into serious and practical cooperation in all areas."
. GRIGOR HAKOBYAN added: "We in Armenia are aware of the position of the University of Tehran in Iran, the region, and the world, and I hope that our cooperation with this important university will begin soon.
