Rectors of Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang and Alauddin Islamic State University of Indonesia meet with the Administrative Board of the Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies, University of Tehran

The Administrative Board of the Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies met with Rector of Alauddin Islamic State University, Rector of Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang, and Vice-Rector for International Affairs of Aladdin University, Indonesia as well.  

In this meeting, the rectors of the Indonesian universities expressed their interest for holding a joint congress in the upcoming year and exchanging professors and students.

Emphasizing on the joint scientific cooperation and the previous MoU signed with his university, the Vice-Rector for International Affairs of Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang requested the preliminary draft of memorandum of understanding between Alauddin Islamic State University and Faculty of Theology to be prepared similarly as soon as possible focusing on the issues already negotiated and to be signed which was welcomed by the Administrative Board of the mentioned faculty.

Both sides agreed upon the followings:

  1. Preparing  the  MoU between Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies and Alauddin Islamic State University of Indonesia based on the template signed in 2015 with  Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang
  2. Based on the second article of the signed MoU, it was stipulated that a seminar be held in the next year at Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang  jointly, so that both sides expressed their intention to follow up the case.
  3. Necessary measures to be taken for sabbatical leaves of professors.
  4. Four volumes of Hadith and commentary books of professors out of the main textbooks of I.R. of Iran to be translated by the Indonesian side and in return four books to be sent from the Indonesian group to the Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies for translation.
