A high ranking delegating from Czech Republic visited Faculty of Economics, University of Tehran
On Tuesday, October 25, 2016, the Faculty of Economics hosted a delegation led by Dr. Petr Drulak, the Political Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Dr. Drulak was accompanied by Dr. Petr Kratochvíl the Director of the Institute of International Relations, Dr. Jan Drahokoupil a Senior Researcher at the European Trade Union Institute and Mr. Jan Čuřík a Director from Swiss Forfeit International.
After meeting with Prof. Mahdavi, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, the delegation attended a panel discussion about the economic transition of the Czech Republic.
In the presence of faculty members and students, they reviewed the experience of the privatization in the Czech Republic and explained about the challenges they faced during the transition and the mistakes that could be avoided. In the end, they discussed the questions raised by the audience regarding the lessons of the Czech experience for the Iranian privatization process.
