The Associate Professor of University of Tehran won an international award in the field of veterinary embryology.
The world award for the best research in the field of veterinary embryology was awarded to an article by the associate professor of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tehran.
Dr. Javad Sadeghinezhad, Associate Professor of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of University of Tehran, won the prestigious Zietzschmann-Preuss Award.
This prize, which is awarded annually by the World Association of Veterinary Anatomy in order to advance the science of veterinary embryology to the best article in this field, was recently awarded to an article by Dr. Sadeghinezhad for a study on sheep embryos using stereology.
Stereology is considered a standard method for morphometry, and by using it, two-dimensional information of organs is converted into three-dimensional information.
Dr. Javad Sadeghinezhad, after completing a research mission in 2017, at Aarhus University in Denmark, which is the originator of stereology in the world, succeeded in launching this technique at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of University of Tehran.
