President of University of Tehran visits Sapienza University, Rome, Italy
According to ANSA , the Italian leading News Agency , on 7 September, 2016, Prof. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi, President of University of Tehran met with Prof. Eugenio Gaudio, Rector of Sapienza University, Rome,Italy. In the meeting both sides exchanged ideas on developing further academic ties in particular in the areas of language, engineering , nano sciences, etc..
Referring to the long history of relation between the two universities, Rector Gaudio stated that despite all ups and downs, the academic cooperation between the two universities has continued.
In this meeting, both sides signed an Inter-Institutional Understanding for International Doctroal Mobility and co-tutoring Dual Degree on Ancient Languages and Culture and expressed their hope for the continuation of such a mutual collaboration in other fields such as Nano technology and similar fields.
Prof. Nili Ahmadabadi, the President of University of Tehran also confirmed that the dual degree is a very effective mechanism by which the students of both sides will have an opportunity to spend a part of their studies in Iran or Italy and gain new experiences.
