Michael Häupl, mayor of Vienna visited University of Tehran

Michael Häupl, mayor of Vienna and accompanying high ranking delegation met with Prof. Azizi, Dean of College of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. The delegation members were welcomed by Abdolmajid Eskandari, Director General, Office of International Relations and attended a meeting in the presence of faculty members of the mentioned college. In this meeting Prof. Eslami, Advisor to the Dean of College of Fine Arts on International Affairs, Prof. Amir Aslani, Advisor to the Dean of Faculty of Geography on International Affairs, Prof. Ardestani, Dean of College of Environment, Prof. Nejat , Deputy Director General , Office of International Relations,  Prof. Esalmi, faculty member of Department of Architecture  explained the areas of interest of cooperation with Austria.

Referring to the dynamic cooperation of College of Fine Arts with Austrialn universities, the presence of faculty members of College of Fine Arts in various departments of Tehran municipality, membership of Prof. Ghalibaf, the mayor of Tehran in University of Tehran, and also cooperation between College of Fine Arts, Tehran Municipality and Vienna Municipality, Prof. Azizi expressed the interest of his faculty to revive the previous incomplete projects.

In response the mayor of Vienna also voiced his interest to support the mutual program of cooperation. At the end of discussion, both sides stated their interest in exchanging academic and administrative experiences on urban development and planning, architecture, joint cultural and artistic festivals and workshops.
