A high ranking delegation from La Sapienza University of Rome, (Italy) visited University of Tehran

This delegation was comprised of the following officials and faculty members:

On 24 May, 2016, from 10:00-11:30, the delegation met with Prof. Eslami , Advisor to the Dean of College of Fine Arts on International Affairs and a number of distinguished professors from various departments. Given the MoU signed between the two universities ,both sides exchanged ideas on various areas and agreed to work on exchange of experts on architecture, professors for sabbatical leave, holding joint workshops, film and theater festivals and programs related to Erasmus Mundus.  After the completion of visit to College of Fine Arts, the delegation paid a short visit to the Exhibition of the 6^th International Festival of UT at College of Engineering.

In the afternoon, from 17:00 to 18:00, the delegation met with Prof. Kamarei, Dean of College of Engineering and Prof. Delavar, Advisor to the Dean on International Affairs and was given some information about the key areas of cooperation with College of Engineering.

Finally from 18:00 to 19:00 the delegation had a very fruitful meeting with Prof. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi, the President of University of Tehran in the presence of Prof. Mohammad Bagher Ghahrmani, Vice President of International Affairs and Abdolmanid Eskandari, Director General of Office of International Relations. During the meeting , both sides agreed upon working and exchanging ideas on issuing dual degree programs in particular in the areas of art( architecture), ancient languages, Italian language and one of the areas in Engineering such as mechanical engineering, metallurgy  or electrical and computer engineering which will be decided upon consultation with the related college. It was also decided that both sides make their efforts to facilitate the mutual visits of professors, students and administrative staff of both universities.It is worth  noting that in the visits and meetings, the Italian delegation members were accompanied by Prof. Carlo G. Cereti, the Cultural Counsellor of Italian embassy in Iran.
