Shabih Khani ( Ta’ziyeh Khani) ceremony held at UT

A  religious ceremony of Shabih Khani ( Ta’ziyeh Khani) was held at the venue of Students’ Club  by the Office of Vice-President  for International Affairs in association with the University and the Scientific Cultural Center of International Students.

Ta'ziyyeh literally means mourning and holding a mourning ceremony in memory of the deceased, and in the term it refers to a kind of ritual and religious show based on the incident of Karbala and the martyrdom of imams and other religious events and historical stories.

On the 15 September, 2022 , Hazrat Ali  Akbar(A.S) Ta’ziyeh was held in the presence of international  students and scholars . After recitation of holy Quran, Abdolmajid Eskandari , Director General for Office of  International Relations presented a speech on the history of Ta’ziyeh and the position of Ashura among  the Muslims. Then, a  Ta’ziyeh performance was held under the supervision  of Mohammad Reza Tahernejad.
