Minister Plenipotentiary of Embassy of the Republic of Croatia meets UT Vice President for International Affairs

On 19 July, 2022, Mr. Branimir Loncar , Minister Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia (Deputy Ambassador) met with Prof. Seyed Mohammad Marandi, Vice President for International Affairs. The other participants of the meeting were comprised of Prof.  Shahidi, Advisor to the Dean of the Faculty of Persian Language and Humanities, Abdolmajid Eskandari, Director General, Office of International Relations and Ms. Ebrhaimi, Head of Department for International Cooperation.

During this meeting, both sides exchanged ideas on various topics of cooperation between University of Tehran and universities in Croatia in particular University of Zagreb.  Considering a theory on Iranian roots of Croats, it was also planned that UT receive two Croatian professors to present a lecture on the topic of Iranian origin of Croatian people at Department of History and also possibility of teaching Croatian language at UT.
