President of University of Tehran visits Taiwan

Prof. Mahmoud Nili Ahamadabadi, the President of University of Tehran and The Second-Vice President of Association of Universities of Asia and Pacific (AUAP) along with Prof. Mohammad Jafar Sadigh Damghani, President of Science and Technology Park and Prof. Mohammad Bagher Ghahrmani, Vice President for International Affairs, University of Tehran visited Taiwan.

Upon arrival on 20 ^th January, they were received by the Representative of Foreign Ministry of Taiwan and Taiwan Iran Business Association, Taipei Tech staff and were directed to the venue of AUAP event hosted by I-Shou University in Kaoshiung city and held preliminary negotiation with the host university on mutual academic cooperation.

President Nili Ahmadabadi took part in the executive meeting of AUAP On January 21th, 2016. Also as a keynote speaker, he presented a lecture on university and social responsibility and the link between university and industry at The 31 ^st AUAP Conference: Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Their roles in the rapid development of high education in Asia and the Pacific.

The delegation also visited Mobiletron Electronics Co. Ltd, and exchanged ideas with the related authorities on mutual cooperation between UT Science and Technology Park on commercialization of products and link between university and industry.

The delegation will also visit National Taipei University of Technology, National Taiwan University and Central Taiwan Science Park.
