Prof. Stefania Giannini, Minister of Education, Universities and Research and her high ranking entourage met with Prof. Nili Ahmadabadi, President of University of Tehran.
The meeting was held on 20th September, 2015 at the venue of the Office of the President, Central Administration building. This meeting was in the presence of Prof. Marco Mancini, Head of the Department for Higher Education and Research, Ministry of Education, University and Research,, the Dean of ICTP and rectors of some Italian universities, H.E. ambassador and cultural attaché of the Italian embassy in Tehran and also Prof. Ghahramani, Vice President for International Affairs, Mr. Eskandari, Director General, Office of International Relations, Prof. Karimi Doustan, Dean of Faculty of Literature and Humanities, Prof. Khezri, Advisor to the President and Director General, Office of the President, Prof. Jafari Dehaghi, faculty member of Department of Linguistics and Ancient Languages.
During the meeting President Nili Ahmadabadi presented some basic information about the University of Tehran and expressed the readiness of University of Tehran to promote the long standing bilateral academic and research cooperation. In this meeting, referring to the cultural and linguistic and historical ties, the necessity of strengthening the cooperation in various scientific areas was reemphasized. Prof. Giannini, the Minister of Education, Universities and Research also stated that her ministry will be ready to support the mutual academic programs within the framework of agreements and MoU’s signed between the two ministries and between University of Tehran and Italian universities and will facilitate the procedures.
