Prof. Cerdic Villani presented a lecture at University of Tehran

Cedric Villani, Professor of mathematics at University of Lyon and the Director of Institute of Henir Poincare in Paris, France presents a lecture at University of Tehran presented a lecture at 10-12 on May 12, 2015.

The title of his presentation was: Of Plants, stars and eternity (stabilization and long-time behavior in classical celestial mechanics).

The lecture was held in the presence of more than 500 students and faculty members and University of Tehran officials. During his presentation, he discussed the role of mathematics and mathematical laws in explaining the incidents of the universe in particular those of plants, stars.

At the end of the presentation, he donated some copies of his latest book translated into Persian to the College of Science, University of Tehran.
