UT presence at IFP

A delegation from University of Tehran including the Associate Dean of College of Fine Arts and two staffs from Office of International Relations, University of Tehran took part in the International Fairs & Promotions (IFP)– Iraq, from April 11 to 13, 2013, at the Saad Conference Center in Erbil, Iraq Higher Education 2013 .

A delegation from University of Tehran including the Associate Dean of College of Fine Arts and two staffs from Office of International Relations, University of Tehran took part in the  International Fairs & Promotions (IFP)– Iraq, from April 11 to 13, 2013, at the Saad Conference Center in Erbil, Iraq Higher Education 2013 .

The event acted as a liaison between local and foreign higher education institutions; providing an excellent networking venue for exchanging knowledge, forging solid alliances, and creating a cooperative environment where ample opportunities existed for those seeking higher education abroad.
 
The delegation was able to collect relevant information from representatives of the participating institutions, and find out more about study opportunities and scholarship programs through Study Abroad Presentations.

It is worth mentioning that this participation was a joint participation in collaboration with Tehran University of Medical Sciences.  The booth of University of Tehran and Tehran University of Medical Sciences was received warmly. The visitors expressed their interest in studying in Iran due to mutual cultural and language commonalities, suitable cost and high ranking of UT at the region and the world.

At the sideline of the exhibition, the delegation met with authorities of Iranian Consulate in Erbil and Suleimaniyeh and visited University of Sulaymaniyah and  Salahaddin University of Erbil. Also in a separate meeting with Dr. Najar the Advisor of the Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region , the delegation emphasized on agreements which were made in his pervious visit to University of Tehran. In the meeting it was announced that the Kurdistan Region has allocated budget to dispatch students to foreign countries and students are interested in studying in Iranian universities , in particular University of Tehran and Tehran University of Medical Sciences.  Both sides also emphasized on the necessity of further mutual academic cooperation.
