University of Tehran to commemorate Nezami Ganjavi

IBNA- A ceremony organized by Iran's book and Literature House will commemorate ‎the prominent Iranian epic poet of the 12th-century Nezami (Nizami) Ganjavi at the ‎University of Tehran tomorrow.‎

The event will be held on the occasion of Nezami's commemoration day in cooperation with Jahad-e Daneshgahi Publishing Institute.

 Iranian experts Mir Jalaleddin Kazzazi, Taghi Pour-Namdarian, Ebrahim Eghbali, Mostafa Mousavi-Rad, Mohammad Reza Torki, Mehdi Mohabbati, Ruhollah Hadi, Sa'eed Karimi and Khorshid Norouzi will make their speeches in the commemoration ceremony.

 On the sidelines of this event, those scholars who have researched on Nezami Ganjavi will be honored. Those interested may attend the commemoration ceremony by adherence to health protocols regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. 

 Nezāmi is considered the greatest romantic epic poet in Persian literature, who brought a colloquial and realistic style to the Persian epic.

 The commemoration ceremony of Nezami Ganjavi is scheduled for Saturday, March 12 at 9 t0 12 p.m. in Kamal Hall of Literature and Humanities Faculty of the University of Tehran.
