Capacity Building in Sustainability for Architectural Heritage (SAH)
SAH is the first project within Capacity Building Erasmus+ programme in the field of architectural heritage. New interdisciplinary models for Bachelor and Master programmes of architectural practical oriented education for Sustainability of Architectural Heritage in line with the best EU practices and Bologna standards to increase awareness and response to environmental changes and quality of life. After completion of the project the number of new type architects-restorers on the labour market will increase. Their knowledge of the methods of Sustainable Development of Architectural Heritage will open opportunities for them to work on conservation, preservation, management and sustainable development of the architectural heritage in accordance with international quality standards. Therefore partner universities will create a joint Master’s program "Sustainability of Architectural Heritage".
The main aim of SAH project is to update and increase the quality of curricula in the sphere of Sustainability for Architectural Heritage in Russia, Armenia and Iran to meet the needs of sustainable development of global market. The EU institution have the task to support the updating of BA-MA curricular in the field of restoration and preservation of cultural heritage and to enhance the Quality Assurance Systems adopted by the partner countries through retraining of staff and mobility of students.
The University of L’ Aquila (Italy) is the main coordinator, which is implemented along with eleven other universities from Germany, Greece, Russia, Armenia and Iran. The programme has launched from 2021 to 2024 for three years. The partner universities of this program are as follows:

The coordinator of the program in Iran is Dr. Somayeh Fadaei Nezhad, who is an associate professor on Architectural and Urban Heritage Conservation, Faculty of Architecture, College of Fine Arts, University of Tehran.
