An online lecture at UT Faculty of Law and Political Sciences

On December 21, 2020, Farshad Ghodoosi, Assistant Professor of Business Law in David Nazarian College of Business and Economics of California State University, presented an online lecture on “ Intention and Consent in Iranian and American Civil Law with a Focus on the Internet and Smart Contracts" at the Institute of Comparative Law , Faculty of Law and Political Science.

Dr. Farshad Ghodoosi. has received a bachelor of law (LL.B) and B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Tehran. He also has received a Master of Law from Yale Law School and Berkeley School of Law (Berkeley Law) and J.S.D. in Law from Yale Law School and a Ph.D. in International Relations from Florida International University in Miami, Florida.

Dr. Ghodoosi has published numerous articles in journals such as Yale Journal of International Law, Harvard Journal of International Law Online , Fordham International Law Journal and etc. His book was published in 2016 by Routledge.

The meeting was held on Monday 21 December 2020. In this meeting, Dr. Ghodoosi first explained the issue of intent and consent in the law of Iran and the United states and explained the effects of the absence of them in detail. Then by defining Internet contracts and Smart Contracts, he explained their nature and the issue of lack of assent in these contracts
