Global University Film Awards (GUFA) 2020

 The Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Film will be hosting the Global University Film Awards (GUFA) 2020 on 4^th to 6^th November 2020. This is a gentle reminder to join our programmes.

 Being envisioned as the “University Oscars”, GUFA is well-recognized as the most-celebrated international student event ever undertaken in Hong Kong. This year, GUFA has received 2,503 submissions from 104 countries and regions, leading to heated competitions and the year-long event will end with the Award Presentation Ceremony on November 6^th 2020.

 Due to the pandemic, we regretfully cannot welcome foreign guests at our Hong Kong event this year, which is why we have arranged both offline and online events to make sure you could join us in the joyous event no matter where you are.

 Firstly, we cordially invite you to register for our online screening. Selected shortlist and finalist films from across all 6 categories (Narrative, Asian Narrative, Documentary, Animation, Experimental and HKBU Academy of Film’s Choice) will be available to registered participants only.

Meanwhile, GUFA is very excited to collaborate with Tai Kwun to hold a two-day screening for Hong Kong audiences at Laundry Steps, showcasing all 48 finalist films of GUFA 2020. All are welcome to enjoy the many fine films on the big screen at Tai Kwun! Details are as follows:

 GUFA 2020 - Finalist Screening (Tai Kwun)

Date: 24^th – 25^th Oct 2020 (Sat & Sun)

Time: 11:00 – 18:00

Location: Laundry Steps at Tai Kwun, 10 Hollywood, Central, Hong Kong

*Free Admission, no registration needed

Winners from each category will be announced at the Award Presentation Ceremony, to be held on 6^th Nov 2020 at Hong Kong Baptist University. Celebrated film professionals including directors Johnnie To, Sylvia Chang and Ann Hui will be award presenters at the ceremony.
