The 63rd meeting of advisors to the colleges and faculties on international affairs was held on 15 April, 2020 in the presence of Prof. Mohammad Bagher Ghahramani, Vice President for International Affairs and esteemed aforementioned advisors.

At this meeting reports were presented by director generals and deputy director generals of the Office of Vice President for International Affairs on the impact of corona virus (covid-19) on Iranian and the world higher education, fighting against the effects of corona crisis and strategic plan of UT Office of Vice President for International Affairs in the condition of corona virus.

After the presentation, each of the advisors to the deans on international affairs expressed their opinions and proposals. The main areas of discussions included the followings:

-The outbreak of the coronavirus has become a significant interruption to colleges and universities throughout the country, with most institutions stopping in-person classes and moving to online programs.

-The pandemic has threatened and significantly altered nearly every aspect of college life.

 

-As the situation continues to develop, universities are performing an active role in addressing both the urgent and long-term challenges related to the outbreak.

 

- Given the fact that many colleges close on-campus housing and dining, universities have introduced alternative programs to ensure students life.

-The challenges of admissions, enrollment and extension of deadline to programs

-Monitoring the international students, encouraging the students to avoid the public and monitor their symptoms for covid0-19, travel restrictions, health instructions,

-The negative impacts of virus on academic life, emergency assistances

- Challenges and opportunities for online-education
