President of Peking University sends a message of solidarity to UT President

Dear President Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi

I am writing to express our sincere concern regarding the latest rise of COVID-19 cases in your country. On behalf of the entire Peking University community, I would like to share our solidarity with you , and with the faculty, staff and students of your university.

After the outbreak of COVID -19 in Wuhan, China has received concerns and support from across the world and the Chinese government and people are making great efforts to combat the spread of disease. The situation in China is gradually turning to a positive direction , and we deeply appreciate the genuine sympathies and warm support rendered by our partner universities during the special period.

As China and more countries are facing a critical stage of fighting COVID-19 , we are willing to stand shoulder by shoulder with your institution , to enhance international cooperation , exchange valuable information and experience and provide support and assistance to each other at this difficult time.

We believe through domestic and international endeavors, the challenges will be overcome soon and the mutual sympathies and assistance will turn into a huge impetus for relations and friendship between our institutions and our countries. Together, we will tide over difficulties and embrace the bright future.
