Culture and Art Night was held at UT Kish International Campus

This event was held on the 23rd of January, 2020 at Kish International Campus.  Dr. Kourosh Safavi, a professor of Linguistics and Persian Language, delivered a lecture on “Persian language international experience” in the event. After presenting a comprehensive definition of standard language and analyzing the current status of the Persian language at national and regional scales, he compared the Persian language with other living languages of the world. Also, culture, cultural development, and the necessity to enhance Persian language were other parts of his lecture.

In another part of the lecture,  he described the cultural colonization as a macro colonization and added, “This method of colonization penetrates into the national realm of culture implicitly and under the cover of language of science, technology, politics and capacities like that and brings it under its control .Cultures should inevitably immune and empower themselves against this unrelenting attack”.

The presentation was followed with question and answer session. At the end of the event, Prof. Alizadeh , President of Kish International Campus expressed his appreciation for the presence and presentation of Dr. Safavi.
