The Ambassador of Ecuador to I. R. of Iran visits the University of Tehran
On December 15, 2019, Dr. Alejandro Ortega Almeida, Ambassador of Ecuador, visited University of Tehran and met Prof. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi, President of the University of Tehran.
The other participants in these meetings were Prof. Mohammad Bagher Ghahramani, Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Feizolahi and Prof. Haghroosta, members of the faculty of the Spanish Language Department and Studies of Spanish and Latin America at the Faculty of Languages Foreign and Literature and Faculty of World Studies, Prof. Moshirzadeh, Advisor to the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences on International Affairs, Abdolmajid Esknadari, Director General, Office of International Relations, and Ms. Farhanaz Ebrahimi, an International Relations Expert.
In this meeting, Ambassador Ortega mentioned the common similarities between the two countries and stated that his main purpose of meeting is to further familiarize with the University of Tehran and its scope of academic and research activities as a leading university in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
After discussing various areas and presenting information on the scope of activities of the University of Tehran, the affiliated campuses and the UT Science and Technology Park, UT officials invited the Ambassador of Ecuador, a law graduate to present a lecture for students and professors of the University of Tehran in the near future in coordination with related faculties. Both parties have also expressed the desire to consider signing memorandum of understanding between UT and counterpart universities in Ecuador.
