APSIH extends its congratulations to the three professors of Iranian heritage who were inducted to the US National Academy of Engineering (NAE) in 2019. These professors are (alphabetically):

Dr. Behrokh Khoshnevis, Professor of Industrial and systems engineering, University of Southern California, for innovations in manufacturing and construction, including the application of 3D printing methods.

Dr. Mahta Moghadam, Professor of Electrical engineering, University of Southern California, for development of physics-based computational algorithms for mapping of subsurface characteristics.

Dr. Saeed Sohrab Pour, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Sharif University of Technology, for establishing Sharif University as an academic Center of Excellence and advancing engineering and science education in Iran.

Election to NAE is one of the highest professional honors for an engineer. Members of NAE are distinguished people in business and academic management, in technical positions, as university faculty, and as leaders in government and private engineering organizations. The election of members is based on the nominations received by the peers (current NAE members).
