Italian former cultural attaché to Iran passed away
On 2 June, 2019 Mrs. Felicetta Ferraro, the Italian former cultural attaché to Iran passed away in Florence, Italy.
During her service in Iran(2000-2008), she was supporting academic and cultural cooperation between University of Tehran and Italian universities and cultural institutions efficiently.
When she returned to Italy upon the end of her services , she continued her support to Iranian culture with the establishment of a Publishing House in Italy so called, Ponte 33 “ Si va Se Pol” to introduce the Iranian society and Persian speaking countries to the European and in particular to Italian readers. She also helped with the organization of many other cultural events related to Iranian and Italian culture like photo and book exhibitions, seminars and literary panel discussions on both contemporary and classic personalities.
Her focus of works was mainly on Iranian contemporary writers. Some of the works which have been published from Persian into Italian as a result of her efforts can be viewed in the related website:
We take this opportunity to express our sincere condolence to Italian Embassy in Tehran and in particular to the Cultural Section and all lovers of Persian language and culture in Italy and throughout the world.
May God bless her soul.
