Spanish Professor visits Faculty of World Studies, UT

Recently, Dr. Victor Manuel Longa Martinez, Professor of Linguistics at the University of Santiago de Compostela , Spain attended the Faculty of World Studies, University of Tehran  within the framework of Erasmus+ project.  

He conducted research and shared ideas and experiences with his colleagues.Furthermore, he hold two workshops on Language and Cognition in Animals ( A Case Study of Honey Bee) and also History of Linguistics. Dr. Victor M . Longa  visited Office of International Relations to discuss further collaboration between the two universities in particular in respect of his own department.

Dr. Víctor M. Longa is a Full Professor of the General Linguistics Area at the University of Santiago de Compostela. His research is currently focused on the biological bases, individual development and the evolutionary origins of language, within the framework of the project "Biolinguistics: evolution, development and fossils of language , in which researchers also participate from the University of Oviedo, Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​University of Huelva, University of Maryland and George Washington University.
