A high ranking delegation from Yunnan Province, The People's Republic of China visited UT on 5^th of May, 2019. The delegation was comprised of the following officials:

H.E. Mr. HUANG Yi, Vice Chairman of Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Chinese Peoples’ Political Consultative Conference
Mr. ZHOU Xuewen , Deputy Director-General of Yunnan Provincial Department of Commerce
Mr. YANG Shaocheng, Chief of Yunnan Provincial Regional Cooperation Office
Mr. Li Chenyang , Vice President of Yunnan University
Mr. Li Hong , Director of Agricultural Products Processing Institute of Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences
Mr. ZHANG Jiapeng, English Interpreter of Yunnan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office

The delegation led by H.E. Mr. HUANG Yi, Vice Chairman of Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Chinese Peoples’ Political Consultative Conference initially visited Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature. There , Prof. Bazrafshan , Iranian Director of Confucius Institute met them and explained about the scope of activities of the related institute. The delegation then visited the main campus and met with Prof. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi, President of University of Tehran.

In the meeting which was held with the participation of Prof. Mohammad Bagher Ghahraman, Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Cyrus Zamani, Vice President for President's Office, Prof. Mohammadi, Advisor to the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources on Int. Affairs, Prof. Sangcheshmeh, Advisor to the Dean of College of Aburaihan on Int. Affairs, Abdolmajid Eskandari, Director General for Office of International Relations, and Nasibeh Moradian, Expert on Int. Affairs ,both sides exchanged ideas and agreed in principle upon the followings:

To develop the already-established ties between Yunnan University and University of Tehran
To work on establishing Department of Persian Language and Literature in Yunnan university
To help with the expansion of activities of Institute of Confucius and Chinese language in Iran
To put more focus on the implementation of the MoU contents signed between the two universities
To assist with the depart of professors of Chinese language and Persian language to each university
Opening a joint office in the UT Science and Technology Park and Yunnan Science and Technology Park
To work on innovation and technologies
To exchange experts on the areas of agriculture
To work on dispatching an expert team from UT to visit Yunnan university and from Yunnan university to UT
