New Ambassador of Venezuela visited UT Faculty of World Studies

On the  Third of March, 2019, Mr. Carlos Antonio Alcala Cordones, the new Ambassador of Venezuela to Tehran paid a visit to the Faculty of World Studies, UT and met with Prof. Maryam Haghroosta, Head of the Department of Latin American Studies and Prof. Arabahmadi, Advisor to the Dean of the Faculty of World Studies on International Relations.

During this meeting, Prof. Arabahamadi presented a report on the scope of activities of the Faculty of World Studies and Prof. Haghroosta also explained about the history of activities of the Department of Latin American Studies,  and presented  some information about Research Center for Spanish Speaking Countries and suggested various plans for cooperation such as holding joint workshops, seminars, organizing cultural weeks, translation of literary works into Persian and Spanish, exchange of students and faculties.

The suggested ideas for cooperation was received warmly by the new Ambassador and both sides expressed their hopes for the promotion of already-established ties.
