Rector of St. Petersburg University, Russian Federation visits University of Tehran

Professor Nikolay Kropachev , the Rector of St Petersburg University, Russian Federation visits UT on 17  February, 2019.  The rector of St Petersburg University is accompanied by Prof. Sergey Andryushin Vice-rector for International Affairs, Prof. Mariya Gusarova, Vice-Rector, Head of the Rector's Office and Mr. Elham Marziov, the Translator.

On 17 February, 2019, the delegation initially paid a visit to Sharif University of Technology initially met with Prof. Fotouhi, the Chancellor of Sharif University of Technology at 11-12 and at 12: 30 to 13:30 , they met with Prof. Mahmoud Nili  Ahmadabadi, President of University of Tehran at the venue of Negarestan Garden Museum.

After meeting, both sides signed several MoU’s to expand the already-established academic ties and the delegation visited different parts of Negarestan Garden Museum.

The main topics of discussion during the meeting with UT officials included the followings:

Joint research projects, joint publications, joint funds for researches , establishing centers for Iranian and Russian studies, using labs, exchange of students and faculty members

At night, the delegation took part in a dinner party hosted by President Nili Ahmadabad at the venue of Spinas International Hotel and also signed a MoU to organize the Russian standard language test at UT for the interested applicants. 

It is worth noting that The MoU's were signed also on behalf of Tehran University of Medical Sciences  and in the presence of the officials of TUMS as a partner university of University of Tehran in international programs.
